Trip TWO

I left Brisbane, Queensland on 3rd June; travelling up Highway 1
through Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast, then Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville
and turning left onto the Capricorn Highway through Charters Towers, Hughenden, Richmond, Julia Creek,
Cloncurry, Mount Isa, Camooweal, Barkly Homestead;
then across the border into the Northern Territory and Three Ways
then North up the Stuart Highway through Elliot , Daly Waters, Katherine and Darwin

Main Range National Park, about 100 kms south west of Brisbane, Queensland

 



 

this beautiful range of rainforest covered mountains is about 50kms inland from Townsville (1,000 kms north of Brisbane) on the Capricorn Highway

I felt very priveliged to witness this, it was very beautiful to see

Darwin is the rugged, pioneer town capital of the Northern Territory and very Asian/Anglo/Aboriginal in it's cultural composition

East Timor (Indonesia) is only 1 hour by plane or 3 hours by sea
